LeeAnn Deakin, the breeder of our own pup, saw my photos of him and asked if I might photograph some puppies when they turn about 6 weeks old. Of course, I agreed! Then I asked if I could possibly come to photograph them earlier, as I thought it would be so interesting to record them as newborn puppies. We were able to get together when the daylight was decent and the pups were just over a week old. They are such fascinating, beautiful little creatures. I love the details: the fur, the noses, the ears, tails. One thing I hadn’t expected was hearing soft, quiet voices.
I can’t wait to visit these little guys again in a few weeks when they are older. If you are looking for a well-bred Golden Doodle, I think there may be a pup or two available. Contact Twenty Valley Golden Doodles. These dogs are very well taken care of on a beautiful acreage in the Niagara area.
P.S. The puppies’ closed eyes made me think of this Snoopy cartoon.
